Kalika Mata Temple, the magnificent temple devoted to Goddess Kali, was a Sun Temple in 8th century – dedicated the Sun God Surya. In the 14th century, the sun temple was destroyed and rebuilt as Kalika Mata Temple. The temple is located across the popular Padmini’s Palace in the Chittaurgarh Fort.
