Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Itinerary

The Royal Rajasthan on Wheels presents seven nights and eight days journey that starts on Sundays. This time the train would be running from January to March 2009 and 2009 October to 2010 March. The Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Itinerary takes you to various destinations like Delhi, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur,Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh, Bharatpur and Agra.

Day 1 – New Delhi
The first day of your Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Itinerary starts with the stay at the capital city.

New Delhi- Details

Check in at Safdarjung Railway Station 16.00 hrs.

Departure for Jaipur 18.30 hrs.

Overnight onboard.

Day 2 - Jaipur
The Royal Rajasthan on Wheels takes you to Jaipur, where the train reaches at 03.00 hours hours. You stop at the pink city to explore the top tourist attractions like Hawa Mahal, Amber Palace and City Palace. Besides these, you can also witness the famous festivals of Jaipur like the Elephant festival and Kite festivals. Then you board the train and get set for your next journey at 19:30 hours

Arrive Jaipur at 03.00 hours

Breakfast is served on Board 07.30 hrs.

Go for sight-seeing Hawa Mahal,

Vist Amber Palace and go for the Elephant ride and some Shopping 08.00 hrs.

Have your lunch at 5-Star Hotel/Palace 13.30 hrs.

Explore the City Palace & Observatory 14.30 hrs.

Return to the train18.30 hrs.

Train departs for Jaisalmer 19.30 hrs.

Dinner on Board 19.30 hrs. onwards

Day 3 – Jaisalmer
On the third day you arrive Jaisalmer at 09.00 hours. You can devote the entire day for sightseeing that includes havelis and the fort built by Rawal Jaiswal. The train then leaves for Jodhpur at 23:45 hours.

Arrive Jaisalmer 09.00 hrs.

Breakfast served on Board 07.30 hrs.

Set out for exploring the fort

and Havelies 09.30 hrs.

Have lunch at the train 13.00 hrs.

Explore the sand dunes and Camel ride 16.00 hrs

Return to train 18.45 hrs

Have dinner and enjoy cultural Program 19.45 hrs

Departure for Jodhpur 23.45 hrs.

Day 4 - Jodhpur
You arrive Jodhpur at 7:00 hours on the fourth day of your journey. Jodhpur offers a range of sightseeing that includes Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhavan Palace. After the entire morning halt, the train leaves Jodhpur at 15.30 hours.

Arrive Jodhpur 07.00 hrs.

Breakfast is served on Board 07.30 hrs.

Visit Meharangarh Fort

Jaswant Thada 08.00 hrs.

Lunch at Umaid Bhawan Hotel/Palace 13.00 hrs.

Come back to the train 14.45 hrs.

Departure for Sawai Madhopur 15.30 hrs.

Dinner is served on Board 19.00 hrs. onwards

Day 5 - Sawai Madhopur/Chittorgarh
Next day, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels arrives Sawai Madhopur at 05.30 hours. After exploring the wildlife at Ranthambor national park you depart for Chittorgarh at 16.00 hours. As you reach the next destination is Chittorgarh, you can go for sightseeing of Chittorgarh fort.

Sawai Madhopur/Chittorgarh – Details

Arrive Sawai Madhopur 04.00 hrs.

Depart for the Ranthambore National Park

(Breakfast will be served before or after sight-seeing as per your convenience) 06.00 hrs.

Depart for Chittorgarh 10.30 hrs.

Lunch is served on Board 13.00 hrs.

Arrive Chittorgarh 16.00 hrs.

Explore Chittorgarh Fort 16.15 hrs.

Return to the train 19.00 hrs.

Day 6 –Udaipur
Next day, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels arrives Udaipur at 05.30 hours. After having breakfast on board you set out for local sightseeing. The train leaves for the next destination on 17.30 hours.

Udaipur – Details

Depart for Udaipur 05.30 hrs.

Arrive Udaipur and have breakfast on board 07.30 hrs.

Go for the local sight-seeing 09.00 hrs.

Have your lunch at 5-star Hotel/Palace 13.00 hrs.

Return to the train 17.00 hrs.

Depart for Bharatpur/Agra 17.30 hrs.

Have dinner on Board 19.30 hrs. onwards

Day 7 – Bharatpur/Agra
Bharatpur is your next stop. The train arrives Bharatpur at 06.30 hours on the seventh day and leaves the place at 09.00 hours. Here, you can visit the world famous Bird Sanctuary Park. The train then stops at Agra at 12.00 hours and departs at 21.00 hours. Here you can visit Taj Mahal and other attractions.

Agra/Bharatpur – Details

Arrive Bharatpur 06.30 hrs.

Have your breakfast on board and visit to Ghana Bird Sanctuary 07.00 hrs.

Train departs for Agra 09.00 hrs.

Arrive Agra Cantt. 12.00 hrs.

Visit Agra Fort 12.15 hrs.

Have your lunch at 5-Star Hotel 13.30 hrs.

Visit Taj Mahal and do some Shopping 15.00 hrs.

Return to the train 18.45 hrs.

Depart for Delhi Cantt. 21.00 hrs.

Day 8 – New Delhi
The eighth day marks the last day of your Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Itinerary. You arrive back at Delhi at 04.00 hours.
